Trump: the triumph of Ahriman?

Like many people, I was rendered angry and depressed by the results of the US presidential election on 5thNovember 2024.

Angry, because Donald Trump has once again, as he has throughout his life, escaped just retribution for his crimes and abhorrent behaviour. It seems that Trump was quite right when he boasted in 2016 at a campaign stop at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa that: “”I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, OK? It’s, like, incredible.”

Depressed, because the return of Trump as President indicates that a majority of Americans voted for him despite knowing everything about his character. This not only says something disturbing about American society and the polarised consciousness of its voters; but this second Trump presidency is also likely to lead to detrimental consequences in many ways, especially for the climate and all life on Earth. It fits into a pattern of worldwide phenomena showing that we are now well into the process of the Ahrimanic incarnation foretold by Rudolf Steiner. (If you are unfamiliar with this idea, I have written more about it here.)

Do I think that Trump is the incarnation of Ahriman? No, I don’t – I wrote about this back in 2016 and that analysis still seems to me accurate. But I do think it likely that the election result will hasten the decline of the US as a superpower, with knock-on effects for Europe and accelerating decline for the West and liberal values, which for good or ill have shaped the world during my lifetime. There is a persuasive argument to this effect in an article by the historian Alfred McCoy in the online Southern Cross Review. The worldwide rise in populism and nationalism, wars of aggression and the cult of the strong leader who can overcome the deficiencies of democracy, are not going to lead to positive outcomes for any of us or the Earth. I was struck by a reported comment last week in Paris from Richard Moore, who heads the UK foreign intelligence service MI6, that during his “37 years in the intelligence profession, I’ve never seen the world in a more dangerous state.”

One of the things I have noticed in all the commentary there has been about the reasons for the election of Donald Trump is how inadequate this analysis has been in explaining what has happened, however distinguished the intellectual capacity of the commentator and however penetrating their psychological grasp of Trump’s narcissism and American popular opinion. The common factor underlying this inadequacy is the absence of any sense of the spiritual reality behind what is happening. If you are an atheistic member of the commentariat and think that the spiritual world is a delusion, that the material world is all there is, and that human beings have but the one life, then you have no access to an essential understanding of the root cause of what is unfolding right now. This spiritual short-sightedness lies behind the failure to apprehend the grimmer facets of our present situation.

So how should we understand the impending incarnation of Ahriman? Rudolf Steiner predicted that Ahriman would incarnate in the flesh in the first part of the third millennium, which is the beginning of the millennium in which we are now living. The details of how, when and in whom this incarnation would happen have of course been the subject of much speculation since Steiner spoke about this over 100 years ago.

Just lately I have been reading Travels on the Northern Path of Initiation* by the anthroposophical writer and seer, Are Thoresen, in which he offers an intriguing update on Steiner’s descriptions. Thoresen is in supersensible contact with the Nordic being Vidar, whom he describes as continuing the work of Michael as an Archangel, since Michael’s elevation to the rank of an Archai. Vidar is described in Nordic mythology as the one god to survive the great battle of Ragnarök (Twilight of the Gods) and is the outer and shining aura of Christ himself. Thoresen asked Vidar about the future incarnation of Ahriman:

“Vidar’s answer was clear and simple, and as I slowly pondered this it made more and more sense. He said that Ahriman was already in the process of incarnating, at this very time, but he is incarnating in all of us, with the help – or by being given cover by – the asuric beings. It is extremely important to understand this.

Who are these asuric beings and why does knowing something about them help us to make sense of what is currently happening in the world?

In a lecture on 1st November 1906, Steiner described them as “satanic gods of hindrances who began their work in the Atlantean epoch but who are now starting to work in the 5th post-Atlantean epoch (ie our present age). They’re the worst of the three forces hindering humankind and they mainly work into sexual life in the physical body. The many sexual aberrations today are to be ascribed to this strong influx.”  And in another lecture from 29th January 1907, Steiner said that: “Asuras are spirits of the very greatest egoism who remained behind during Saturn evolution. They want to condense matter and compress it ever more so that it can’t be spiritualized and brought back to its original condition. They’re the dregs of the planetary evolution that goes from Saturn to Vulcan. The asuras inhabit the moon and from there they work on the humans whom they want to drag down into the eighth sphere and thereby tear away from progressive evolution and its goal — the Christ.”

Now I’m aware that, to many people, this will all sound abstruse and fanciful. But if I describe some practical effects of the activities of these entities on human beings in the world today, let us see if any of it accords with your own perceptions. Are Thoresen suggests that since the year 2019 and the Covid pandemic, the asuras have gained much more access to human beings through the opening of what he calls the first elemental realm. (This refers to what Steiner has described as the crossing of the threshold between the physical and elemental worlds, which he says will happen unconsciously and inevitably for every human being towards the end of the 20th century and thereafter. Much of Steiner’s work was to help us prepare to cross the threshold consciously, by building a bridge between the spiritual and the earthly, thus allowing the unfolding of our soul capacities and awakening the consciousness with which to engage and transform our outer lives. Making this journey consciously is much safer than crossing the threshold unconsciously, which Steiner likened to putting your head into an ant’s nest.)

I am indebted here to the Australian writer and spiritual teacher, Lisa Romero, and her book The Inner Work Path,** for the following descriptions of what may happen to people who cross the threshold to the elemental world unprepared. She describes how there are seven realms or spheres of the true spiritual world and the capacities and preparedness that each of us brings determines which of these spheres we may encounter. For most of us, it is the first three elemental spheres that we are most likely to experience. Beyond the three elemental spheres lies the outer etheric realm, where the Christ has been visible since around 1933 to those who are able to reach him. As we evolve, more and more of us will be able to meet Christ during the next 2000 years.

“For those unprepared, the first crossing to the moon sphere could leave them feeling that life is just an illusion, that they have been caught in maya, living a lie. They can end up feeling despondent and unable to continue as a useful member of society. For those who cross unprepared into the second sphere, it can leave them with the feeling that they are puppets, that nothing they do really matters, and that there is no free will. This can leave the soul incapacitated in relation to earthly life, or even destructive toward others. If seekers cross the threshold unprepared and enter the third sphere, they may feel that they just want to leave this world, escape the wheel of life and death. They may see that if they clear up their personal karma, they can escape the karmic cycle of dying and returning to earth. This may then lead to a life of working simply to liberate the individual self.”

Does any of this sound familiar? Do you know anyone, particularly young people, who may resonate with these descriptions?

Thoresen says that: “…I have also observed that these (asuric) beings were able to give the ‘carrier’ of the entity some degree of clairvoyance, but that this clairvoyance was always false. Usually, the adversarial entities give information that was ninety per cent true and ten per cent false. This makes the carrier believe in themselves, and thus to connect with the adversarial beings and forces for eternity.”

(…) “I had not understood why these asuric beings could provide such clairvoyance, but now, after pondering Vidar’s answer, I understood perfectly. Ahriman is in the process of incarnating NOW. Ahriman is incarnating in ALL people – also myself – and especially spiritual people, with the help of the asuric elementals. In this way, he incarnates, hides himself and also initiates a ‘school’ of magic, leading to clairvoyance – a clairvoyance that is personal and that nobody can agree on.”

It is these adversarial forces that create the things that attack humankind in unseen warfare aimed at all levels of our being. Nearly all of us are totally unaware that this is our situation. The effects of this assault can be seen in many of the disturbing phenomena affecting human society in our time. But by a strange paradox, the elemental beings in the three elemental spheres are the foundation of the material universe. Without them, the material world would not exist. Material creation is thus the outer face or expression of the elemental beings, who although partly adversarial are also necessary for our human development towards freedom.

Our sole protection is the Christ and we need to develop the techniques that will counterbalance these phenomena. Are Thoresen says that: “To be able to work into and with the elemental world in all its three realms, to introduce morality and the Christ-force in the material/elemental world, we have to be able to observe the elemental world. That is why it is so important today to be able to cross the threshold (to the spiritual world), and also to be able to activate one or more of our spiritual sense organs.”

Finding the Christ-point of balance between the adversarial forces is key to our survival as humankind. Thoresen describes how in all the adversarial forces, in all technological devices and even in all human abilities, there can be found a Middle point, the Christ force. By finding this, we can redeem the luciferic, ahrimanic and possibly even the asuric elements in all these, and consequently material reality itself. I don’t want to go into more detail here of how this may be done, so I would refer you to Thoresen’s books for further information.

In Downhill All the Way, the fourth volume of Leonard Woolf’s five-volume autobiography, he writes about how horrible it was to listen on the wireless to the speeches of Hitler, “the savage and insane ravings of a vindictive underdog who suddenly saw himself to be all-powerful. We were in Rodmell during the late summer of 1939, and I used to listen to those ranting, raving speeches. One afternoon I was planting in the orchard under an apple tree iris reticulata, those lovely violet flowers which, like the daffodils, ‘come before the swallow dares and takes the winds of March with beauty’. Suddenly I heard Virginia’s voice calling to me from the sitting-room window: ‘Hitler is making a speech’. I shouted back: ‘I shan’t come. I’m planting iris and they will be flowering long after he is dead.’ Last March, 21 years after Hitler committed suicide in the bunker, a few of those violet flowers still flowered under the apple tree in the orchard.”

So, after the election result was in and taking my cue from Leonard Woolf, I went out into the garden to plant bulbs under an apple tree, which was all I could think to do in human solidarity with the values of truth, justice and kindness. May they flower for many years, long after Trump and all those leaders under the influence of Ahriman have gone to reap their karma. May human beings find the Christ force living in our hearts. May the Earth be protected from all those seeking to destroy it!

That we allow someone to use clairvoyant experience unformulated into coherent conscious experience is a degrading impulse into anthroposophy, into the evolution of the human being. Clairvoyant experience, spiritual experience that is, should always be worked with in a manner which allows its wisdom to become translated into a rational understanding (albeit higher rational) and thus delivered through a language which invites the thinking of the listener to follow upon the same developmental path. To place oneself as an authority figure through the presentation of clairvoyant relationships which no one else is truly able to engage in, is to place a temptation before others. I hope more of us wake up to the danger which this impulse brings into anthroposophy and beyond. For the information shared is often not as important as the path to information which is endorsed.

    • Colin, when you mention”clairvoyant experience unformulated into coherent conscious experience”, would I be right in assuming that you are referring to Are Thoresen? If so, may I suggest you read his book, which may give you a different impression.

Yes, indeed, I have read through several of Thoresen’s books and have found the quality of the ideas he shares very uninspiring, and deceptive. What I noticed was that he tends to continually point at his own authority, and clairvoyance is often the method. Furthermore, I have friends that have attended his workshops and I have been able to listen to their experience from an objective place. What I have noticed is that people tend to be sort of “under a spell” by his work and words. To me, he represents a backwards impulse to revert back to the ancient clairvoyant prophetic method. Furthermore, I find his revelations about the elemental beings and world to be incongruent with my own experience as a biodynamic farmer. Furthermore, the idea that Michael has been removed from his position as the leading archangel of our time, mid-term, I find to be highly unlikely, even a bit laughable. Of course nobody can challenge this notion because it is a clairvoyant vision, entirely personal, and thus without any grounds for challenge. Nonetheless, true thinking of a contemplative style will lead anyone to the absurdity of it.

        • Thanks for your reply, Colin. I have read several of Are Thoresen’s books and also attended some workshops with him, but my experience of these is different from that of your friends. His clairvoyance, and particularly his clairaudience, seem to me entirely genuine – he is treading new ground, and this can be disturbing for anyone who remains firmly attached (as do I) to the revelations brought 100 years ago by Steiner. His idea that Vidar has taken over from Michael as the guardian of the threshold is worth living with, and his idea that the Michael School can be too difficult for the modern consciousness to achieve results with is born out by my experience – and I suspect the experience of most Class members. But as they say, “your mileage may vary.”

Precisely! Although, “attached” is not the right word to speak of my relationship to the ideas presented through Steiner’s anthroposophy…”dear” perhaps. After all, many of the words, thoughts, and ideas which remain dear to me are far more than one hundred years old. Ahhh, the pain of our quickness to sell off, write down, or just outright forget the past.

Travel far, my friend! But be aware that the nature of distance is different in the realm of time.

Thank you for this perspective. Fair game to analyze Trump and all of his weaknesses and faults, but sort of hollow without analyzing the alternative. And totally irresponsible to compare him with Hitler and call him a fascist, particularly given the textbook fascism of the status quo. It is one thing to support someone so flawed in charachter in an election, but another entirely to support an entire system in hte Democratic Party (and former Republican Party) bent on the annihilation of the US and the modern world as champions of censorship, sick care, and war. For me, the conclusion that finding the balance in the realization that Ahriman is incarnating in all of us is the way..

This article paints Trump as some malevolent figurehead of spiritual decay while conveniently ignoring a few rather important facts.

First off, despite the dramatic claims, Trump hasn’t been found guilty of any crimes — federal charges against him were dismissed, so where’s the supposed legal skulduggery? Oh, and remember how the Establishment spent three years claiming he was a secret agent of Putin’s. The new Hitler. Yeah, right …

And let’s also not forget that while previous presidents were busy sending troops off to fight wars, Trump didn’t start a single one during his time in office. A peaceful record like that doesn’t exactly scream “harbinger of doom”, does it?

Maybe the writer of this article is more comfortable dealing in metaphysical speculation than actual facts. A fairer take would acknowledge Trump’s peacekeeping record and the lack of proven corruption, rather than weaving him into a cosmic battle for the soul of humanity. Let’s keep it grounded, shall we?

    • Jurors in the New York criminal trial against former President Donald Trump have convicted him of 34 felony counts of falsified business records. This is the first time a former or sitting U.S. president has been convicted of criminal charges.
The jurors said they unanimously agreed that Trump falsified business records to conceal a $130,000 hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels to influence the outcome of the 2016 election.

But I don’t want to spend too much time here in political arguments for and against Trump, though my personal views (and yours) are clear. The main point of this post is to look at what Trump’s election might indicate (if anything) in the context of Steiner’s prediction about the incarnation of Ahriman.

Thank you for your thoughts. As I have been contemplating the results of the election it seems clear to me that the newly elected president is a mirror for us all as we have similar qualities that he is projecting loud and clear. It is up to each one of us to look at ourselves and come to grips with those parts consciously and work to tranform them from ourselves.
Could these be a picture for us to recognize in ourselves the working of these being and the incarnating Arhiman?

Friend, Thanks for sharing yr thoughts. Only thing I would add is it seems to me we may need to share more what the ‘Christ’ is, what is anthroposophy, what is health, and let that speak for itself more. Some of us over specialize in the ‘devil’ rather than what calls forth the angels, the virtues, ‘the Christ within, the hope of glory’. We need ‘hope’ yes, we are still called on for ‘deed’, ‘By their deeds we shall know them’. Deeds are the deed to the ‘promised land’! Aha! Too many ‘anthropops’ seem to propose blind belief in, rather than deeds, actions, performance, true reflection, true shine. . Goethe’s boy Faust wasn’t saved by calling out the little devils. Faust to virtuously go on, ‘die and become’, rose and flower toward the One, at-one-ment divine feminine lead is onwards, wasn’t specializing in detailing the devishish details, but by continuing to learn and love. More like the end of your share, the continuing to cultivate the garden. For the true Anthroposophist or human being, ‘Christ’ (or universal heart mind spiritual ensouling) is not a blind belief, it’s a virtuous process of coming into being, a cognition of virtuous life style indeed, maybe even compassion for the poor devils, but a hearts eye for that star over every head, and in every heart, an eye for the garden soul part of us. Hmmm, near impossib

Could it be that they are an example of the asuric- influenced clairvoyance mentioned by Are Thoresen? One of the characteristics of the age of Ahriman is division between families, friends and communities over all sorts of issues. Best wishes, Jeremy

        Dear Jeremy,

Yes everyone has their point of view. I’m far from being a Trumper, I’ve always voted left-of-centre and indeed in this election voted for Jill Stein, the only pacifist on the ballot. But, that said, I confess to having felt a sense of relief on hearing of Trump’s decisive victory as to me the Biden/Harris administration (really Obama’s third illegal term) has been the worst in living memory.

I tend to agree with Specu above that Trump, despite his many shortcomings, at least started no new wars whereas Obama started seven during his eight year term.

Thanks for continuing to put out the Antropopper blog. It is a valuable thing to have such a forum.

“The main point of this post is to look at what Trump’s election might indicate.” Doesn’t the prior administration indicate the same thing or something similar?

Haven’t many individuals already experienced detrimental consequences in many ways over the last four years?

You comment “the return of Trump as President indicates that a majority of Americans voted for him despite knowing everything about his character. This not only says something disturbing about American society and the polarised consciousness of its voters…”

Is it possible that it may also demonstrate something disturbing about the current administration, that individuals, who in the past, would not voted for such a person, have decided that that was a better alternative based on their impressions of the current administration and their unique experiences over the past four years?

Do actions of the current administration of the past four years also fit “into a pattern of worldwide phenomena showing that we are now well into the process of the Ahrimanic incarnation foretold by Rudolf Steiner.”

  10. The text provided, while rich with references to spiritual concepts and personal reflection, suffers from a number of weaknesses that warrant critique. To begin, it exemplifies a one-sided, emotionally charged perspective on the U.S. political landscape and its electorate, reflecting a disdain that borders on contempt for millions of voters. This tone undermines any claim to balance or constructive dialogue. Moreover, the text’s use of Rudolf Steiner’s spiritual framework, while fascinating for those versed in Anthroposophy, risks alienating readers unfamiliar with or skeptical of such esoteric ideas. The Fallacies of Demonization and Emotional Rhetoric

The portrayal of Donald Trump as a figure who “escaped just retribution for his crimes” and embodies “abhorrent behavior” is not substantiated with any new evidence or balanced critique. By reducing the political choice of millions to moral or intellectual failure, the argument ignores the complexity of the socio-economic, cultural, and political forces driving voter decisions. Such sweeping condemnations mirror the very polarization the text claims to lament.

Trump’s comment about shooting someone on Fifth Avenue, while provocative and often cited, is misrepresented here as a literal confession rather than a hyperbolic remark about political loyalty. The repetition of this out-of-context quote does little to foster understanding and only serves to inflame. The Oversight of U.S. Foreign Policy and Warmongering

A striking omission is the text’s failure to address one of Trump’s potentially redeeming political stances: his apparent desire to reduce U.S. involvement in foreign conflicts. Critics often overlook the military-industrial complex’s influence on successive administrations, including those lauded for their civility or progressive agendas. Under Trump, there were efforts to scale back military interventions, albeit inconsistently. For instance, his administration negotiated the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, setting a precedent for questioning endless wars that have devastated countless lives globally.

In contrast, many of Trump’s predecessors and opponents have championed interventionist policies that perpetuate suffering under the guise of spreading democracy. The author’s lack of acknowledgment of this dynamic betrays a bias that is at odds with any claim to moral or spiritual insight. Trump’s rhetoric and actions, though far from pacifist, introduced a skepticism toward warmongering that deserves recognition amid criticisms of his character and policies. The Dangers of Over-Spiritualizing Politics

While the integration of Anthroposophical ideas into political commentary is intriguing, the text overextends itself by tying Trump’s presidency to the incarnation of Ahriman and asuric forces. Such metaphysical framing risks reducing political and social phenomena to allegorical battles of good versus evil, stripping them of their human complexity. For readers unfamiliar with Anthroposophy, this approach can come across as dogmatic, insular, and disconnected from tangible realities. Conclusion

Rather than succumbing to despair or demonization, it would be more productive to engage in an honest evaluation of the structural issues plaguing the U.S., including its bipartisan tendencies toward militarism and inequality. Recognizing Trump’s flaws does not preclude acknowledging his occasional challenges to entrenched systems, including interventionist foreign policies. The spiritual aspirations the author invokes — truth, justice, kindness — demand a more measured, empathetic approach that transcends partisan vitriol. Let us cultivate these virtues not by vilifying others, but by seeking deeper understanding and striving for unity in a fractured world.

A most insightful comment. Though I would suggest that there is a part of it that under scrutiny does not hold up.

“Under Trump, there were efforts to scale back military interventions, albeit inconsistently. For instance, his administration negotiated the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, setting a precedent for questioning endless wars that have devastated countless lives globally.”

The negotiated withdrawal was between the Taliban (hardly a trusted partner) and the U.S. under Trump leadership. The Afghan government in Kabul (corrupt to the bone, living off the largesse of the U.S. taxpayer, and enabled by the U.S. military) was duly excluded. Trump sees every relationship in his world, in every setting and at every juncture of his life as transactional.

Thus the underlying issues as to what could bring a fair and just end to the war were never addressed. It’s the very nature of transactional answers to thorny and complex problems that they will eventually fail and fail they did quite spectacularly especially with the Biden administration’s incompetence when the Taliban literally walked unimpeded in Kabul.

If Trump in his 2nd term uses the same sort of ham-fisted approach to ‘settle’ thorny and complex problems either internationally or domestically in a purely transactional way(he doesn’t really know any other way) the same short or long term disasters will most likely occur.

      • To reiterate the point already made in reply to Specu, this post was not about Trump per se; it was to suggest that his election is symptomatic of a much wider process, in which more and more we see division and rancour and lack of agreement in many aspects of life. These signs are indicative of what one would expect at a time of the Ahrimanic incarnation.

Was delighted to see another post from you Jeremy. It would appear you watch the BBC most often as they are the liberal equivalent of the US legacy medias of ABC, CBS, and NBC which are the handmaidens of the Left. As matter of fact the vast majority of the US medias are Liberal. Very Liberal!

Trump and most politicians are double edged swords. The previous administration opened our borders and let in about 12 million people. There are approximately 320,000 missing migrant children. Where are these babies? Being trafficked in a myriad of ways and also used for organ harvesting. YES, selling the organs of the children all around the world. Not to mention being used for sexual deviations our imaginations would not want to think about. Also, the drug cartels have become billionaires because of the open boarder. Those people that wanted to cross have paid or owe thousands to the cartels and become indentured to them. Next the previous administration also thinks it ok to inhibit puberty for minors all the way to 2-year-olds!!! This being done with drugs or amputations of genitals and breast. This is the Biden-Harris administration. Now Harris is a known and stated Socialist. Walz her VP pick, is a known Marxist. Having visited China many times and buying about 30 of Mao’s Little Red Book to give away to people. Why do people give books? Because they believe in the message in it. These 2 would have accelerated communism in the US which would please the likes of Ahriman. Even now if I am properly informed, the UK is jailing some people for speaking as they please on social media. 1984?

So am I pleased with the outcome of the election. Yes. I feel as if there is a short span in our country where our freedoms are still solid for a while longer. Yes, Trump is an egoist. but he does not hide it. The lawsuits were frivolous. The New York DA campaigned on bringing him down. He did nothing different that the rich money manipulators have all done for decades or longer. New York is deep deep blue and they were the jury. Is he a hound? Yes. Biden showered with his young daughter! Clinton did not ask for the blue dress! There is a reason the Left has been out to get Trump. Why? Is it because the USA will still be a freedom country under his presidency? Ahriman would surely not want that!

Ahriman is on the move no doubt with the Assuras creating havoc. Why did Trump not die in Pennsylvania? Just a turn of the head. Then in Florida the other man was caught in time. Was not his time or karma. Why? We do not know. We know that Ahriman will not be stopped. What Trumps part is? Elon is an Ahriman person for sure how exactly?

Our only protection is to KNOW. That is it. KNOW ..Eyes and Ears open at all times. Thank You Jeremy. Always a pleasure to engage on this blog.

Thank you for sharing your insights Jeremy. Are Thoresen also has a book called “Encounters with Vidar” where he writes about the importance of clairaudience. There are also many films of Are’s on-line workshops on YouTube from the Rudolf Steiner Chicago Branch. It is possible to join his on-line practical workshops too. I recently joined one organized by the Rudolf Steiner Chicago Branch and it does offer instruction and guidance to develop your path into the elemental world. Very informative and helpful where you meet lots of other travelllers.

It’s rather curious that Thoresen negates his abilities saying

“…I have also observed that these (asuric) beings were able to give the ‘carrier’ of the entity some degree of clairvoyance, but that this clairvoyance was always false.”

      ….

““I had not understood why these asuric beings could provide such clairvoyance, but now, after pondering Vidar’s answer, I understood perfectly. Ahriman is in the process of incarnating NOW. Ahriman is incarnating in ALL peoplealso myself – and especially spiritual people, with the help of the asuric elementals. In this way, he incarnates, hides himself and also initiates a ‘school’ of magic, leading to clairvoyance – a clairvoyance that is personal and that nobody can agree on.”

So here is the issue, and this seems to be a running theme in Anthroposophical circles, is that people still cannot tell the difference between Atavistic Clairvoyance and the New Clairvoyance described by Steiner – and he describes this in many instances. Taking one’s subjective experience – because that’s what the entities tell them – is not good enough and even Thoresen admits it is a type of “clairvoyance that is personal and that nobody can agree on”, and should put up instant red flags. If it is not personal, subjective, than it should be objective. And Steiner has laid it out very explicitly how to attain objectivity through the development of new clairvoyance, i.e. Thinking. And the issue seems to be that people equate thinking with Ahrimanic impulses, and this is imply not true. Thinking can be Ahrimanic, but that doesn’t mean that all thinking is Ahrimanic. And this gives the faculty of Thinking a bad rap, because many assume that thinking is not a spiritual faculty, but it is. And if it is treated as such, then it might become more clear that we don’t need a few selected individuals to bear the responsibility to divulging us spiritual information from entities we may hold dear to us… talk about a game of telephone. And let’s be honest here, this is so much of a remarkable experience for Thoreson than it is for anyone else. Neither one of us are present to witness this exchange, and the whole experiential quality of it is an example of ‘take my word for it, because Vidar told me so.’ This really is not the way.

I don’t mean to say this as a jab at Thoresen, and I rather like him as an individual personality, but it doesn’t change the fact that this is a derailment from what Steiner was trying to help us understand. The emphasis is on Thinking, and this takes work. The kicker here is that anyone can do this, and we are meant to do this as part of our natural course of evolution. Thoresen’s type of clairvoyance is no different from the kind that is described in times of old, that right there should be the most glaring sign of what atavistic clairvoyance is. We are not meant to prop up certain individuals to divulge answers to us, because the entities they claim to have a special contact with, told them so. Nothing learned on your own accord is nothing gained. You don’t really learn why, you are just told what to think. This doesn’t help anyone. It is a bit mind-boggling that this type of clairvoyance is plainly accepted and hardly ever questioned.

Well done Jeremy, the main goal of internet activities is to achieve human engagement in the web … it doesn’t look like any AI bots rose to the bait.

Would it surprise anyone here that the actual manifestion of Ahriman might be the freedom-destroying global biometric carbon-credit tracking app that will soon be a mandatory condition to participate in society?

It is important not to fear the future abominations that the Abyss-oriented beings of darkness may use God’s energy to bring forth … create something of lasting value by using your attention to contemplate Christ.

Try not to slumber in the Age of Consciousness …

    Happy Sabbath.

    2nd Corinthians 12-15

12- Now what I am doing I will still do, that I may cut off the pretext from those who are wanting a pretext for being found equal to us in the office of which they boast. 13- For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14- And no wonder for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15- It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.

We have what we need to know the truth and go forward. Christ the Word. St. Johns Gospel, Knowledge of the Higher Worlds and Their Attainment and the Michael School books. Follow these paths and you will not be lost or confused. I consider the last books solid and true. We do not want our higher ‘self to be birthed as a miscarriage.’

Some will just not be able to enter the spirit world in this life. From Knowledge of the Higher Worlds, page 160 in my very old book about the 6 petal lotus chakra. “A wise renunciation may be a far greater achievement than the struggle for something which, under given conditions, remains unattainable. Indeed, a renunciation of this kind contributes more toward development than the opposite course.”

If anything, I would have to consider Trump as a Luciferic figure, given his tendencies to unrestrained egotism and his generally regressive attitudes. But that’s in contrast to what I have to consider the Ahrimanic qualities of the “deep state” nexus behind the Biden-Harris facade, the coldly tyrannical and anti-human forces that have been in power while COVID, the Ukraine war and the Israeli genocide have been unfolding. If there’s anything more Ahrimanic than the sheer toxic nastiness of the forces hiding behind the facade of governments around the world, while spinning their plans for what certainly looks like the end of normal life on earth, instituting a state of affairs where conditions under Covid control or in the ruins of Gaza are the “new normal,” I’d certainly like to see it.

As happens all too often, I think we were given an impossible choice in the last election between Scylla and Charybdis, and the best thing we could manage was swing towards one form of counterbalancing evil, with Trump’s nativism providing a deeply flawed, but unfortunately perhaps necessary counterpoint to a wholly spurious and tyrannical “globalism” being rammed through by the incumbent powers. There’s every likelihood that the reaction will swing much too far towards a toxic “conservatism” that takes pride in sneering at “progressive” values, however misused or cynically manipulated by the former administration. Maybe the best thing for the world is for American and Western “leadership” in general to fade into irrelevance, if they’re incapable of attaining a Michaelic cosmopolitanism as opposed to Ahrimanic power-hunger. Either way, I think it’ll be up to us “normal folk” to find the middle way, however unvalued by the unbalanced left or right of the spectrum!

Thanks a lot for this blog, Jeremy.

Initially I I thought you might have created some anti-libtard clickbait. However, following your 8th Sphere link (https://en.anthro.wiki/Eighth_sphere) led me to this Steiner lecture (https://rsarchive.org/Lectures/MissMich/19191123p01.html) which, from the table of contents, led me to this lecture (https://rsarchive.org/Lectures/MissMich/19191129p01.html) which has been right on the money for me.

Especially interesting was how the “Jupiter men” could subconsciously influence people of faded consciousness by manipulating their instincts to bring about WW1. This has immediate parallels to the people behind the convid plandemic which I view as a direct attack against human freedom and has achieved an Hegelian dialectic between the vaxed & unvaxed which is yet to be resolved.

Once again, I can’t thank you enough for your work which has given me a new focus for 2025!

Cheers, and don’t let the sub-humans gnaw on your Will.

Hello Jeremy. Trump’s tech push is in full swing and here we have the Ahriman issue. 500 billion for AI medical research pushed by Oracles Larry Ellison and new crypto laws.
Here is one paragraph from the executive order he signed.

📌The Working Group will be tasked with developing a Federal regulatory framework governing digital assets, including stablecoins, and evaluating the creation of a strategic national digital assets stockpile.

We used to discuss back in my 1st study group the idea that Ahriman would put a chicken in every pot so to speak. This perfection of society can put humans to sleep. Some struggle keeps us awake.
    Interesting times for sure.
